Finally, some good use of BitTorrent. Wikipedia edition for schools, which started back in 2006, has released a new edition comprising of over 5500 hand-picked Wikipedia articles in a single DVD. It is a 2.9 GB download available exclusively over BitTorrent.If you're looking for an offline Wikipedia archive, this could be pretty useful. The Wikipedia DVD on BitTorrent was last updated in 2009 but here are more tools for downloading Wikipedia offline.
