Microsoft getting ready to launch its next-gen Windows Phone 8 Apollo

According to the sources, Microsoft is getting ready to liftoff its next generation Mobile operating system codenamed “Apollo” with lots of fresh features, and this new version of Windows Mobile OS is anticipated to be released in Q4 of 2012.

PocketNow, has also reported that Joe Belfiore, Microsoft’s senior official explained in video preview that what bright features and themes update would be presented in Windows Phone 8 ‘Apollo’. This upcoming OS will bring much more flexible approach towards various specs of devices. It will also support multicore CPUs with four displays of different resolutions and micro SD card slot.

Company has also said that, Windows 8 Apollo will have the power, capability and excellence to combat more firmly with its market-leading competitors like Apple iOS, Google Android and others.

According to Microsoft Corporation, Apollo OS will also include one of the latest features like Near Field Communication (NFC) which is widely becoming popular and is being used for communication, contactless payment transactions and data exchange. Moreover, this facility will be provided not only between mobile devices, but also with other gadgets that are running on Windows OS.

Joe Belfiore also said that the ‘Apollo’ OS will integrate its services with DataSmart, Skype, and Skydrive.
